AERO ENGINEERING
Aero Engineering was set up by a combination of qualified professionals and freelancers with the common aim to develop and research high technology projects in specific areas related to aeronautics.
The company has been carrying out a permanent R+D task directed to create a new propulsion system named FREENOX that is able to reduce, neutralize and eventually eliminate pollutant emissions, decrease dramatically fuel consumption while covering environmental requirements in accordance with the ACARE objectives (Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe 2020).
The aim for developing this project is to contribute to fulfil the needs in the commercial aviation sector in the near future. The new generation of one-corridor and high capacity planes will need more efficient, sustainable and operational motors in order to reduce the airlines costs and contributes to a more eco-friendly technology.
Together with a number of industry experts, IATA has produced the IATA Technology Roadmap, which provides a summary and assessment of technological opportunities for future aircraft. FREENOX program has been included in this publication and has been described as a Revolutionary Engine Cycles that assembles several new elements that helps to reduce NOX emissions and fuel consumption.
